This is a lovely 50s dress made with a top layer of lace over a acetate taffeta base. The dress is sleeveless but has a matching bolero jacket with 3/4 length sleeves. This 50s dress has a wide V shaped neckline both at the front and back. It has a V shaped dropped waistline. The bolero has a small shirt type collar that can be worn either up or down (see close-up photos) and is made in a cropped style. The dress was posed with a crinoline underneath - no crinoline is provided, so to get the same 50s dress full skirt look you would need to own or acquire a crinoline. The dress does up the back with a metal zipper.

Label: None, but certainly manufactured

Colour: Dusty rose - like a brownish pink

Sizing: No size is indicated on this 50s dress but this should fit a medium size - please note the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the garment into consideration:

Dress:

Bust: 35”-36” around

Waist: 27” around

Hips: 56” around, meant to fall loosely supported by a crinoline

Overall length: 44", measured flat from the top of the shoulder straps to the hemline

Jacket:

Sleeves: 27” from the mid-neck to the sleeve edge

Bust: 35”-36”

Bottom: 31”

Length: 13”

Condition: This 50s dress is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear or odour - it looks like it was maybe worn once for a special occasion and well stored over the years.

This is a wonderful 50s dress - classic 1950s style!
